- Candidates must have completed their 12th grade biology, botany, and zoology courses.
- Must have passed Tamil as a subject at the SSLC level.
- Must have completed two years of training as a Multipurpose Health Worker (Male), Health Inspector, or Sanitary Inspector at a recognised private institution, trust, university, or deemed university, including Gandhigram Rural Institute training course certificate issued by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

- Candidates must have completed DGNM/B.Sc Nursing/ B.Sc Nursing with Integrated curriculum registered under TN Nursing Council
