On 14 October 2022, WBBPE TET (West Bengal Board Primary Education) released news for TET candidates. The candidates waiting for teacher jobs now fill out their forms on this official website: (www.wbbpe.org) or (https://wbbprimaryeducation.org)
According to the latest update, candidate must submit their application only through the online portal to appear in Teacher Eligibility Test-2022 for classes I to V. To know more about this exam read below.

About WBBPE TET

West Bengal Board of Primary Education regulates the WBTET for Teacher Eligibility Test at the state level to finalize candidates for the teacher position in schools.

WBBPE TET Application Submission Details

The notification that the submission of the online application will be applicable from 14 October 2022@16:00 Hrs(IST) till 3 November 2022@24:00 Hrs(IST).

WBBPE TET Exam Date

The exam will be regulated on 11 December 2022. It is a one-day exam throughout West Bengal as per the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) guideline.

The candidate can pay the examination fee by credit card/debit card/internet banking. However, the extra processing fee will be applicable.

Academic Qualification

  • In senior secondary education, the candidates who come under the general category must have a score of at least 50 % marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education ( B.EL.ED) or a Diploma in Education.
  • Graduates with at least 50% marks with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
  • For other Category candidates, there is a 5 % relaxation in Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination (i.e., 45 %).

WBBPT Eligibility criteria

  • The total marks for this exam are 150, and the candidate who scores 60% and above will be considered a passed candidate.
  • SC,ST,OBC-A,OBC-B,PH,EC,EX-Serviceman and DH(Death-in-harness) candidates will get relaxation by 5%(i.e. 55%).
