NIFT Registration 2023: The National Institute of Fashion Technology has released the NIFT 2023 notifications on its official website at nift.ac.in. The NIFT 2023 registration process will start from the first week of November as per the schedule.
Candidates who are interested in applying for NIFT 2023 can apply through the online mode. The National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance examination will be conducted in first week of February 2023.
Candidates who will miss the opportunity to fill out the NIFT 2023 application form by the last date can apply till the last week of January by giving a late fee of Rs. 5000.
Candidates who are going to apply for NIFT 2023 must satisfy the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for appearing in the NIFT 2023 examination
Candidates should be less than 24 years of age. However, for candidates of ST/SC/PWD categories, 5 years are relaxed in upper age limit.
Bachelor’s of Design (B.DES):
- Candidates must have completed a 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent exam from a recognized board and institute.
- Those who are appearing in the exam are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have cleared or appeared in the SSC examination with five subjects from the National Open School are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have completed three years of diploma work will be eligible to apply
- The age of the candidates should not be more than 23 years old.
Bachelor’s of Fashion Technology (B.F Tech):
- Candidates must have completed the 10+2 or its equivalent exam from a recognized board and institute with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
- Candidates with a three-year diploma in engineering are also eligible to apply.
- The age of the candidates should not be more than 23 years old.
Master’s of Design (M.DES):
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Design from any recognized university or college or have a diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID are eligible.
- Students who are going to appear in the qualifying exams are also eligible
- No age limit is prescribed for this course
Masters of Fashion (MFM):
- Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized university or institute, or they should have a UG diploma of 3-year duration from NIFT/NID.
- No age limit is prescribed for this course.
Masters of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech)
- Candidates who have a B.F degree from NIFT are eligible to apply
- Candidates who have passed B.E/B.Tech from a recognized institute or university by law can apply.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exams are also eligible.
NIFT 2023: Exam Pattern
The National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance examination pattern will consist of a GAT (General Ability Test). CAT (Creative Ability Test). Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates have to give the GAT test for all courses. Candidates who will face the B.Des and M.Des have to give the CAT exam after the GAT exam. Candidates who clear the written test will have to give a Situation Test for B.Des and for M.Des they will have to give GD/PI.
NIFT 2023: EXAM Schedule
- NIFT application form starts from – 1st week of November 2022
- Last date to complete the registration process – End week of December 2022
- Deadline to fill in NIFT registration form by giving late fee of Rs. 5000-1st Week of January 2023
- Last Date of Application Correction Window-2nd week of January 2023
- NIFT admit cards will be available in the third week of January 2023.
- Exam Date of NIFT 2023-1st Week of February 2023

NIFT 2023: Documents Required
Students are advised to have the following documents at the time of registration for the NIFT 2023 entrance examination.
- Candidates should have an active email ID and a mobile number.
- Candidates should have a valid identity card.
- Applicants should have academic qualification certificates.
- Applicants must have scanned images of passport-sized photographs and their signatures.
- Candidates are required to fill in the details of net banking, credit card, or debit card.
Steps to Follow to Fill Out the NIFT 2023 Application Form
- Go to the official website of NIFT 2023: niftadmisiion.in
- Now, click on the “NIFT application form 2023.” link.
- Fill in the basic details like name, gender, email id, contact number etc.
- Now, candidates have to fill in other details like nationality, religion, qualification, work experience, etc.
- Following that, candidates must upload scanned photographs and signatures in the size required.
- In the next step, candidates are required to pay the fee for the NIFT 2023 application form through net banking/debit card/credit card in an online mode.
- Once the payment is done, candidates can submit their NIFT 2023 application form.
- Download the copy and save it for future use.
NIFT 2023: Application Fee
- Candidates who belong to the general category will have to pay Rs. 3000
- Candidates who belong to SC/SW/PWD will have to pay Rs. 1500
- Late fee will charge – Rs 5000
