President Murmu to Present Silver Trumpet, Trumpet Banner to President’s Bodyguard

  • President Droupadi Murmu will present the Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to the President’s Bodyguard (PBG) at a ceremony to be held at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan on october 27,2022.
  • The PBG has the distinction of being an Indian Army unit carrying the President’s Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner.

India’s first indigenous Overhauser Magnetometer

  • Indian scientists have developed an Overhauser Magnetometer, one of the most accurate magnetometers extensively used by all magnetic observatories around the world, making way for reducing the cost of sampling and sensing experiments essential for geomagnetic sampling.
  • In order to reduce dependence on imports, the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG), an autonomous research institution under DST, Government of India, has developed the magnetometer as part of its technology development program.

Aircraft for Indian air force made in India

  • Transport Aircraft (C-295) for Indian Air Force to be made in India by Airbus Defence & TATA consortium,Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone of the project in Vadodara, Gujarat on October 30, 2022.
  • This is the first project of its kind in which a military aircraft will be manufactured in India by a private company. The total cost of the project is Rs 21,935 crore. The aircraft can be used for civilian purposes as well.

The 27th annual UN Climate Change Conference

  • Conference of the Parties (COP) is taking place in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt from November 6 to 18.
  • This is the fifth time the climate conference is being hosted in Africa.Governments of more than 200 countries have been invited to participate.
  • COP-27 will focus on three key areas: reducing emissions, helping countries prepare for and coping with climate change, and securing technical support and funding for developing countries for climate action.

List of countries performing well in law and order index was released

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate Donyi Polo Airport at Arunachal Pradesh
