International news

NATO’s -Military Exercise to Prevent Nuclear Attacks

  • NATO’s nuclear deterrence military exercise begins in Western Europe.
  • A total of 60 aircraft will participate in this air exercise. 30 countries including Western Europe, Belgium and England will participate in this military exercise until October 30.

Stanford University Rankings 2022:

  • The Stanford University rankings began in 2019, under which the experts classify scientists into 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. There are two lists that are released — career wise rankings (data based on last 25 years,) and second is rankings for the last one year.
  • Globally, 200,409 scientists coming under the category among these, there are 3796 scientists from India across all fields.

National News

46 Tamil books have been created in Braille format

  • 46 Tamil books including Thirukkural and Tolkappiyam have been created in Braille format for the benefit of visually impaired people, according to Central Institute of Classical Tamil Studies.
  • It has been said that after the completion of this work which was started last March and completed in december, and the books will be printed and distributed to the visually impaired persons at free of cost.

India’s first sports helmet testing centre

  • Meerut manufactures thousands of sports helmets in every year and sends them to countries like UK for testing and quality certification.
  • To avoid this, the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries is going to set up the country’s first sports helmet testing facility in Meerut.

PMBJUP -One Nation One Fertilizer Project

  • The new scheme of Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Urvarak Paryojana called One Nation One Fertilizer – it is mandatory for companies to market all subsidized fertilizers under a single brand ‘Bharat’.
  • Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 600 more PM Kisan Samruthi Kendras (PM-KSK) The central government plans to gradually convert over 3.3 lakh fertilizer retail outlets in the country into PM-KSKs.

India ranks 3rd  in fish production in world

  • After China,India is the 3rd largest fish producer and 2nd largest aquaculture country in the world
  • The PMMSY project aims to achieve 22 million tonnes of fish production by 2024-25. It is also expected to create employment opportunities for 55 lakh people, and the state has been allocated Rs 734.77 crore under the (PMMSY) scheme.

India’s first semi-high speed rail transport system

  • India’s first semi-high speed rail transport system is ready for operation by Alstom, a global leader in digitization and automation technologies.
  • This service connects Sahibabad and Duhai, a priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor.
  • The RRTS project aims to address social and economic issues and promote balanced and sustainable economic development of the National Capital Region.

Integrated pensioners portal will be Launched

  • Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the Integrated Pensioners portal at an Anubhav Awards Ceremony to be held New Delhi on October 18.
  • Minister launches Integrated Pensioners Portal, a single window to address the needs of pensioners and also solve the grivences of them.

Tamil Nadu Police department  introduced  the ‘Smart Kavalar’ app 

  • DGP Shailendrababu has launched a new application called ‘Smart Kavalar’ to improve the efficiency of the police department.
  • ‘Smart Kavalar’ app has been introduced to monitor the activities of the field officers in the police department, to record the incidents that occur during the field work, and to inform the higher officials immediately if the field officers face any problem or require immediate assistance.

MBBS course has started in Hindi

  • For the first time in India, MBBS course was launched  in Hindi in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Mr. Amit Shah.
  • Madhya Pradesh is the first state to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new education policy and So far the country had 387 medical colleges in 2014, today it is 596, IITs from 16 to 23, IIMs from 13 to 20, IIITs from 9 It has also increased from – to 25.

India’s first aluminum Freight rack was Launched

  • Shri Ashwini Vaishnav inaugurates First Aluminum Freight Rack – 61 BOBRNALHSM1 at Bhubaneswar Railway Station in India
  • It was developed indigenously through a joint effects between Railways, Besco Ltd Wagon Division and Hindalco.

Sweden’s Moderate Party Leader Ulf Kristersson Appointed Prime Minister

  • Conservative leader Ulf Kristersson was elected Sweden’s new Prime Minister and was, for the first time, backed by the far-right Sweden Democrats.
  • Kristersson, 59, was elected by 176-173 votes.

The Government of Odisha reorganized the Land Commission and appointed a Member of the Board of Revenue as its Chairman

  • Odisha Government has reconstituted the Land Commission and appointed a Board of Revenue member as its Chairman.Bokrai MLA Ananda Das and Parjang MLA Nrusing Charan Sahu have been appointed as members of the Commission.
  • Other members of the Commission are Director of Land Records and Survey, retired OAS officers Bibhuti Bhusan Das and Suthansu Shekhar Bhuyan and Commissioner of Land Reforms has been appointed as Member Secretary.

ISSF World Shooting Championship 2022

  • The Indian men’s team has set a record by winning the gold medal in the 10m air rifle category at the ongoing ISSF World Shooting Championship in Cairo, Egypt.
  • The Indian team consisting of Rudranksh Patil, Arjun Babuta and Kiran Jadhav beat China in the final to win the World Champions title. This is India’s fifth gold medal at the World Championships.

Aim chess Rapid online chess tournament

  • 19-year-old Indian grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi defeated the reigning five-time World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen in round seven of the preliminaries of the Aimchess Rapid online chess tournament.
  • This is the first victory of Erigaisi over Norwegian Carlsen and now he is currently in fifth place after eight rounds.
