National News

India is the first country to introduce design thinking and innovation in schools

  • The new curriculum aims to improve the thinking skills of the students and will be introduced from classes 7 to 12 in the coming academic year.
  • India is the first country to expand design thinking and innovation courses in schools
  • CBSE, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Unit and IIT-Bombay have jointly introduced this new course selection system.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has formulated 3 schemes to promote the use of helicopters and small aircraft

  • Helicopter Emergency of Medical Service from AIIMS Rishikesh is named as Project Sanjeevani.
  • Project Akash is a pilot program to help non-scheduled operator’s clearance (NSOP) airlines to operate small aircraft and helicopters in India through the GAGAN satellite.
  • Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also said that the government has issued guidelines for fractional ownership of aircraft and helicopters in India to facilitate operation of NSOP in India.

  • An integrated facility centre named ad  “Sanjivani – Lifestyle Clinic” is a counseling center for diet, exercise and behavioural habits .
  • It was Inaugurated by Mrs. Archana Pandey, President, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) on 11 October 2022 in New Delhi.
  • An automated device named “Health Kiosk” has been installed in the clinic to monitor the progress of the patients.

  • PM Modi inaugurates Rs 1,275 crore healthcare facility at Civil Hospital (Asarva) in Ahmedabad.
  • New and upgraded facilities for cardiology and UN Mehta Cardiology and Research Centre, a new hostel building, new hospital building for Kidney Diseases and Research Center and new building and research institute for Cancer in Gujarat.
  • Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a shelter to accommodate families of poor patients.

Nitin Gadkari launched the Ethanol-Ready Flex Fuel Vehicle

  • Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the first of its Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV-SHEV) pilot project in India, Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid.
  • It is a pilot project to verify the reliability of hybrid vehicles in electric-hybrid vehicles that can run on ethanol-powered flex fuel, reduce pollution and reduce dependence on petrol and diesel.

People over 80 have set a world record for making the largest number of jumpers.

  • Members of The Jumpers Over Eighty Society(JOES) eight members — Jim Culhane, Cliff Davis, Scotty Callan, Walt Green, Paul Heenen, Skye Huminski, Woody McKay and Ted Williams — have under go
  • And to set the world record they set up their record in a circular shape.
  • The previous world record was set by six jumpers over the age of 80.

36th National Games 2022

  • Tamil Nadu won the bronze medal against Assam in the 3rd place in women’s football. In the final match , Manipur won the gold medal by defeating Odisha.
  • 19-year-old Hemachandran from Villupuram district won the gold medal in the individual category as in Mallargamba.
  • 10-year-old Sharyajit Khare from Gujarat won the bronze medal in pole category at Mallargamba.

 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2022

  • The 16-teams of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup football series begins on october 11 2022 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
  • The FIFA U17 will end on October 30 and also held in various places Goa and Navi Mumbai.
  • This is India’s first appearance in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

China launched the Guafu-1 satellite towards the Sun

  • China has successfully launched the Guafu-1 satellite to study the Sun and successfully placed it in the designated orbit.
  • The Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) was launched by Long March-2D rocket.
  • India also plans to explore the Sun. The Aditya L-1 project is said to be launched next year.

Spectacular Bubble Nebula’s Photo released by NASA

  • NASA has released a photo of the eye-catching Bubble Nebula 7,100 light-years away from Earth.
  • America’s space exploration agency NASA, on April 24, 1990, the Hubble telescope, which was launched into the sky, has sent a picture of the Bubble Nebula.
  • Bubble Nebula is 40 lakh years old. According to NASA, it will become a ‘supernova’ within 1 to 2 million years
