 DA Increased for Central Govt Employees Under 6th & 5th Pay Commission – Here are the Details!! The Department of Expenditure (DoE) of the Ministry of Finance informed that the amount of dearness allowance for Central Government employees announced on October 12 is as per the 6th Pay Commission and 5th Pay Commission.

Accordingly, the amount of dearness allowance for the employees working in Central Government and Central Autonomous Organizations has been increased from the existing 203 percent to 212 percent as per the 5th Central Pay Commission. The revised rate is effective from July 1, 2022. Similarly, as per the 5th Central Pay Commission, the rate of dearness will be increased to 396 percent from the existing 381 percent.

With this, the central government employees drawing a basic pay of Rs.43,000 per month will get the DA hike of Rs.91,160 under the 6th Pay Commission. That means the DA hike will be Rs.3,870. Meanwhile, Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for central government employees and pensioners drawing wages under the 7th Pay Commission have been increased from 34 percent to 38 percent on September 28. This revised rate will be effective from July 1, 2022.
