7th Pay Commission update: DA Hike for Central Employees – Important Things to Know!! The Department of Expenditure (DoE) of the Ministry of Finance has announced a hike in the dearness allowance for central government employees and pensioners from 34% to 38% on September 28. Following this, the DoE issued an official notice on October 3 formalizing the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission DA hike.

And now some important notes are released to the employees and pensioners who are getting DA by the central government. Accordingly, the 4% increase in the DA will be effective from July 1, 2022. This DA refers to the salary drawn as per the applicable scale in the pay matrix prescribed by the 7th Pay Commission recommendations adopted by the Govt. The Dearness Allowance will continue to be a distinctive feature of wages.

Also, fractions of 50 paise and above may be rounded to higher rupees at a discount rate. Separate orders will be issued by the ministry to the armed forces personnel, defense, and railway ministry employees. It is informed that orders are issued under Article 148(5) of the Constitution of India to the employees working in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department.
