7th Pay Commission Diwali Gift Arrears and DA Increases 4% for State Govt Employees

7th Pay Commission – Diwali Gift; Arrears and DA Increases 4% for State Govt Pensioners: The state government of Haryana gave a  gift to retirees who work for the government prior to Diwali. The dearness allowance for employees was increased by 4% under the Manohar Lal Khattar administration, and it will take effect on July 1st, 2022.

State employees will now enjoy 38% DA benefits, just like the Center. While the arrears of DA from July to September will be available in the month of November, the higher DA will be included with the salary for the month of October.

Following the Governor’s approval, Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, released its notification on Tuesday. According to this, the dearness allowance for government workers and pensioners has increased from 34% to 38%. The 7th Pay Commission states that only employees receiving a salary will profit from it.

The higher DA rate will be applied to Basic Pay. The state’s approximately 2.5 lakh employees who receive pay under the 7th Pay Commission will directly profit from this choice. Since DA began on July 1st, three months’ worth of arrears will also be accessible. However, the employees won’t receive the unpaid balance in cash.

Three months’ worth of arrears will be placed in PF. Every six months, the state government raises the DA rate. The increase in DA is due on January 1 and July 1. In spite of this, the administration delays raising it by three to four months. Additionally, 57,000 workers in Haryana are paid in accordance with the sixth pay commission’s recommendations.
