Selection Process

Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test/Interview. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be required to take the main exam, which will be followed by a personality test/interview.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a B.E./B.Tech degree from a Recognized University in India, as defined by an Act of the Central or State Legislature, or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
• Should have passed Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) Institution Examinations; or
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a foreign university/college/institution under such conditions as the government may recognise from time to time for this purpose, or
• Graduated from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers’ (India) Graduate Membership Examination, or
• Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India Associate Membership Examination; or
• After November 1959, passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers in London.
