Educational Qualification

• All approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks must have a Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, the local language, and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognised Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Government /Union Territories in India.
• Knowledge of the local language is required.
• The candidate must have studied the local language at least up to 10th grade (as compulsory or optional subjects) as announced by the State Government or as per constitutional rules relating to the Constitution of India’s 8th schedule.
• Candidates must present a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate from any Computer Training Institute that is at least 60 days long.
• Cycling knowledge is a prerequisite for all GDS positions. If a candidate knows how to ride a scooter or motorcycle, they may be deemed to have knowledge of cycling. A declaration to this effect must be submitted by the candidate.
